Human Geography Sustainability Scholarships

£2,000 for stage 1 (first year) of study.

To celebrate the launch of its new BSc in Human Geography, the School of Anthropology & Conservation is offering scholarships of £2,000 for students starting the degree in September 2020. These one year Human Geography Sustainability Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis. 


The scholarship will be awarded to UK, EU and Overseas applicants to the University of Kent who meet all the criteria below.  Applicants must:

  • be entering the first year (Stage 1) of BSc Human Geography or BSc Human Geography with a Year in Professional Practice at the University of Kent from September 2020. 
  • have satisfied conditions of entry to the University of Kent.

How to apply

In order to apply please  write a 500 word essay on the following topic:

"Given the climate and environmental crisis - what can Human Geographers do to help drive sustainable development?"

  •  the title of the essay
  • your name
  • application reference number
