School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research Alumni Excellence Scholarship

Candidates with a First Class honours or a very good upper 2.1 (68%+) degree from the School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research (graduating this summer or already graduated) are invited to apply. Eligible programmes are:

  • MA Sociology
  • MA Criminology
  • MA Methods of Social Research
  • MA International Social Policy
  • MA Philanthropic Studies

Applications can be to study full-time or part-time, but study must commence in September 2019. All applicants who have accepted a place on one of the above programmes will be automatically considered for a discount. There is no need to make a separate application, you need only to email sspssr-pg-admin@kent.ac.uk with your results before your registration in September 2019. 

This discount will be in addition to any Kent scholarships and discounts (such as the £1,000 Graduate School Scholarship, 10% Loyalty Discount and School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research Alumni Master's Scholarship).

While there is no formal closing date for the discount, we recommend that you apply for your chosen course before the end of June 2019.

Criteria

  • First Class honours or a very good upper 2.1 (68%+) degree from the School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research
  • Have graduated in summer 2019 or earlier
  • Eligible programmes are: MA Sociology; MA Criminology; MA Methods of Social Research; MA International Social Policy; MA Philanthropic Studies
  • Study to commence in September 2019

How to apply

Applicants who have accepted a place to study on one of the eligible programmes starting September 2019 will be automatically considered. There is no need to make a separate application.

Deadline

There is no formal closing date, however we recommend that your apply for your chosen programme by 30 June 2019 and confirm your acceptance of any offer as soon as possible.
