Kent Business School Hardship Bursary
Scholarship value
20 awards of up to £3,000
Deadline
The deadline for this funding award has now passed. Please check back soon for further details of our next round of awards.
Criteria
To be eligible candidates must:
- Be self-funded.
- Submit a maximum 750 word supporting statement describing your current financial circumstance, detailing why you require the extra funding and should be considered for a hardship bursary. As we are unable to provide a full tuition fee bursary, please indicate how the remainder of the fee will be sourced.
- Be in receipt of a formal offer to study onto a Masters course at Kent Business School for 2023 entry.
Awards will be considered by the Bursary Awarding Panel on a rolling basis each month. Successful candidates will be notified within one week of the panel meeting.
The University reserves the right not to allocate the awards if the selection panel identifies no suitable candidates.
Only one KBS/University scholarship/bursary can be held by an applicant, whichever is the higher amount.
Further details
Kent Business School is pleased to offer a range of hardship bursaries to UK and International postgraduate taught applicants who require financial support in order to undertake and complete their master's studies.
KBS Bursaries are awarded on the grounds of financial hardship and in order for us to offer such a bursary there needs to be reference to this within the application essay. For example, some of our applicants are parents (especially single parents) or mature students with heavy financial commitments. Some applicants may be registered with a disability and further funding will contribute towards the costs of studying and/or living, whereas others may be from a low-income family and find they need to raise funds themselves. Some may find that even with working part-time (which can put a strain on studies) they simply cannot raise the funds needed.
How to apply
You can apply for the Kent Business School Hardship Bursary by filling in the KBS Hardship Bursary Form, but only after you have received a formal offer to study a Masters course at Kent Business School.
