Postgraduate Scholarship in Synthetic mechanobiology

This is a Vice Chancellor’s Research Scholarship, which will be offered at the standard UK Research Councils' rate £15,009 (2019/20 rate) plus Home/EU fees.  This scholarship will involve undertaking teaching/demonstrating duties during the period of study. International applicants should make provision to meet the difference between Home /EU and International fees. 

Applicants should have or expect to obtain a first or upper second class honours degree (or equivalent) in biochemistry chemistry or a related subject.


Candidates must hold a good Honours degree (First or 2:1), or a Master’s degree (merit or distinction) in a relevant subject or equivalent.

The scholarship competition is open to all new postgraduate research applicants, applying for September 2019 entry.

Current Kent research students are not eligible for this scholarship.
