This scholarship is open to Kent and Medway Medical School applicants only.
The Christopher John Marsh Memorial Fund was established in 1997 by Commander Colin Marsh and Mrs Yvonne Marsh to support graduating University of Kent students, of good standing, by clearing small debts that would otherwise preclude their graduating. Commander Marsh was a mature student at the University of Kent when he and Yvonne established this fund in memory of their late son, Christopher. Commander Marsh passed away in 2003. As the Higher Education funding environment changed over time, the fund was utilised less and when the Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) was established, Yvonne chose to move all her support to the School. Yvonne Marsh passed away in 2021. This scholarship is to support students in hardship, over the age of 21, with KMMS tuition fees.
