Supervising Safely - Refresher

This course is specifically for and only open to previous Supervising Safely candidates who have attended and passed the full course within the previous three years. For those who did not obtain their certificate at the University of Kent a copy of the current certificate will need to be submitted.

Training aims

To refresh the candidate's knowledge of the importance of key aspects of health and safety management systems. To increase knowledge through training on some additional topics.

Session Content

  • Review of the HSG65 management system
  • Effects of human failure
  • Reliability of risk control measures
  • Stress in the workplace
  • Overview of Working at Height, PPE, Slips, trips and falls etc


A short examination.

Successful completion is necessary to achieve an updated Supervising Safely Certificate, which is both nationally recognised and respected.

Certificates may be renewed again after three years (time limits apply) through another one day re-certification course.

Maximum number of attendees

Ideally twelve.
