School of Anthropology & Conservation

Excellence in diversity Global in reach

Building Extension Project

Enhancing the School's facilities and presence on campus

In December, work commenced on the school's latest building project. We are embarking on the remodelling and extension of the main entrance to the School, giving us a stronger and more prominent identity.

Alongside eight new office spaces for academic members of staff, the school will gain:

  • Two new meeting rooms, providing additional locations for seminars and quiet study space
  • Social spaces on both floors providing designated space for SAC students to congregate and work in, enhancing the community within our school

Other features of the project include:

  • An interior living wall
  • A more accessible reception area
  • Dedicated display cabinets showcasing the world-class research conducted in the school
  • Outdoor spaces creatively landscaped to reflect the diversity practiced in SAC
  • Sustainable materials used in the design of the building in line with the ethos of the school

Further details on the project can be found below and this page will be regularly updated with news and images of this exciting development.
