In 2015 the University launched a new annual award scheme to recognise excellence in research as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.
The Prizes, now in their third year, act as a showcase for the extraordinary range of ground-breaking research that is being undertaken across the University.
Professor Phillipe De Wilde, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research & Innovation, said ‘The high calibre of applications this year made the work of the award panel in selecting just ten winners particularly difficult and, as well as congratulating the winners, I would like to thank all those who put their work forward for consideration.
Professor Philippe De Wilde
‘It has shown me how much excellent work is being undertaken, how many publications and grants are being secured, and how many accolades are being won.
The Research Prizes scheme is intended to represent all this effort, and I hope that it will continue to reflect the breadth, inclusivity and excellence of the University’s research.’
