Research

Research interests

  • Other-condemning emotions (presently viewed as: contempt, anger, & disgust)
  • Resentment (antecedents, outcomes and its inclusion within present research).
  • Maladaptive resentment

My research interest is primarily within the field of social psychology, but incorporates (and seeks to inform) perspectives held in evolutionary psychology, differential psychology and affective science. Specifically, my thesis seeks to establish resentment as a discrete affect within these fields by differentiating it from similar and related affects and dispositions (e.g. anger, hostility etc).
