David completed his PhD at the University of Sheffield where he studied the development of the other-race effect in face processing. Following this, David took up a 2 year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Glasgow where he studied cross-cultural differences in face processing and perception before moving to Royal Holloway, University of London to work on a 3 year project investigating the role of eye movements in atypical language development.
David is interested in various aspects of cognitive development with a particular focus on the first year of life. He primarily uses eye-tracking to study visual development and face processing in early infancy.
