Broadly, I am interested in the social-cognitive and ideological factors influencing person perception, with a particular focus on the accuracy of meta-perceptions about others attitudes and behaviours. My PhD research examined the sense that people make of gender relations, specifically the ideological and socio-cognitive biases which influence accurate perceptions of different types of sexism (hostile and benevolent) and feminist identity.
Current lines of research examine factors influencing women’s engagement in collective actions, belief in sexual exchange and its implications for intimate relationships and sexual health and the mechanisms underlying attribution of stereotypes about feminists.
