Mayur's thesis title is 'Studies of Galvanic Brain Stimulation (GVS) of the human brain vestibular system for understanding neurological fatigue and the potential mechanisms of effect of vestibular stimulation'.
Research interests
Novel non-invasive neuro-technologies (CVS, GVS, TMS) as adjuncts in the management of chronic symptoms (motor and non-motor) in long term neurological conditions: MS, Parkinson’s, low awareness states, traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury.
Design, application, and experimental testing of novel devices (neurostimulation) for the management of neuropsychiatric conditions: depression, anxiety (current collaboration with UCL, University of Cardiff, Neuro-medical Ltd).
Developing insights by single case studies into rare neuropsychiatric conditions with no current treatments: Depersonalization; Chronic Fatigue Syndrome; Phantom Eye Syndrome; Prosopagnosia; Hallucinogen persisting perceptual disorder (HPPD).
