About

Aimilia is a Research Student and Graduate Teaching Assistant in the School of Psychology.

Thesis title

Gender Identity in Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Research interests

Recent research findings indicate a link between autism spectrum disorder and gender identity difficulties/gender dysphoria, but there is an ongoing debate on whether that link is anything more than superficial. Aimilia's PhD research project examines this phenomenon using implicit and explicit measures of gender identity among people from the gender population, autistic, and transgender individuals.
