Organising for success
Kent is a leading UK university offering excellent teaching, an outstanding student experience and research which ranks among the best internationally.
We have strong international links, a powerful European dimension and we make a major contribution to the region.
We also have many new and exciting initiatives underway, such as the Kent and Medway Medical School and the Institute for Cultural and Creative Industries, which will strengthen us for the future.
However, while we have much to be proud of, like the rest of the sector we are also facing unprecedented financial, political and regulatory challenges. Our strategy sets out a road map for change, development and sustained growth, but we need to do things differently if we are to deliver our ambitions in this volatile environment.
To do this, we need to change how we are currently structured. The Executive Group has agreed a set of proposals which they believe will ensure we become stronger in our research and education, less bureaucratic and more cost-effective.
