Get set for Easter Sports Academy

Local children can hone their skills in cricket, football and hockey at the University this Easter.

The University is running an Easter Sports Academy for children aged 7-14 to gain professional coaching in the three sports. The Academy runs from 9am-3pm daily from 11-14 April at a cost of £85. Later pick-ups (until 5.30pm) are available for an extra £10 per day.

Trainers include former Kent and Somerset cricketer, Ben Trott, Gillingham Academy coach, Darren Collins and double Olympian hockey player, Mel Clewlow.

Mel Clewlow, the University’s Sports Development Manager, comments: ‘The classes are a great opportunity for children to gain some skills in their favourite sport as well as keep fit during the Easter holidays.’

To book a place, download a book form from www.kent.ac.uk/sports and return it with payment to the University of Kent Sports Centre, Canterbury, Kent CT2 7NL. To find out more about the Academy, contact Mel Clewlow, m.clewlow@kent.ac.uk or 01227 827673.
