Housing law expert Professort Helen Carr of Kent Law School has helped compile a new practical tool to help residents in high rise buildings check the fire safety of their homes.

Professor Carr, along with colleague Dr Ed Kiton-Darling and other organisations and individuals concerned with tower block safety, developed the Fire Safety Checklist.

It was launched on 17 June at an event at Parliament hosted by Karen Buck, MP for Westminster North.

At the launch, Professor Helen Carr addressed politicians, policymakers and leading fire safety professionals.
