Exploring identity, culture and politics following referendum

On Saturday 17 September, the University’s European Theatre Research Network is holding a festival at Camden People’s Theatre exploring European identity, culture and politics following the referendum.

Organised by the Director of the European Theatre Research Network, Dr Margherita Laera, who is a lecturer in the School of ArtsAfter the referendum invites the public to a day of talks and performances by artists including Pablo Pakula, Jesse Fox and Ben Hadley.

In collaboration with the Inside/Outside Europe Research Network and the Birkbeck Centre for Contemporary Theatre, the festival is designed to explore key questions following the referendum, such as where the vote leaves the public, what it means for remain voters and how European relationships will now evolve.
