Kent Sport supports Kent Cycling Festival

Allie Burnett

The University is hosting the British Heart Foundation’s Kent Cycling Festival to get the local community pedalling for a good cause.

Hop on your bike on Sunday 13 September and join hundreds of other cyclists on a range of cycle routes for beginners and more experienced riders.

As well as raising money for charity, it’s a great opportunity to see the beautiful Kent countryside including parts of the Viking Bike Ride.

Cyclists will start from the University’s Sports Centre Pavilion on the Canterbury campus, where there will be refreshments and live music. Parking is free and changing facilities are also available.

Hayley Reynolds from the British Heart Foundation comments:

‘The University of Kent is an ideal venue, with its proximity to Canterbury and beautiful green campus with modern sports facilities and easy access to the countryside.

‘We anticipate hundreds of cyclists and hope to raise £75,000 for our life-saving research.’
