Kent architecture student  awarded prize from the Royal Institute of British Architects

Joe Bosson, a student at Kent School of Architecture and Planning (KSAP), has been awarded a prize for excellence from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Joe, 24, was the winner of the Diploma Prize at KSAP. The prize, which celebrates the talent of architecture students at the University, is awarded by RIBA West Kent Branch, representing around 300 architects across West Kent.

The judges were impressed with Joe’s project entitled wHoo Caresa community resource for the Hoo Peninsula. They said Joe’s buildings ‘use resources carefully and have a low impact on the environment – and, for those very reasons, they would have a big impact on the people who use them.’

Joe has just finished his Part 2 (Diploma) course at Kent: this comes after the three-year Part 1 (Degree) course and is currently working at Spacelab, an award-winning practice in London.
