The high standard and quality of the University of Kent’s commercial services have resulted in it winning a national 2018 CUBO (College and University Business Officers) Award.

Kent’s commercial services include student accommodation and catering services, arts activities and sports facilities.

The Commercial University of the Year Award recognises the hard work and dedication of all Kent’s Commercial Services staff and the ongoing investment in its various services, as well as the delivery of consistently high standards of service to students, staff and visitors.

After the ceremony, Director of Commercial Services Kevin Stuckey paid tribute to his team and their contribution to both the award and delivery of services.

Commercial services at Kent contribute significantly to the University’s revenue streams through the activities of Kent Hospitality, Kent Sport, Gulbenkian and University of Kent Music and also benefit the economy of the South East through local employment and the provision of residential and catering services, conferences and events.

The winners of the 2018 CUBO awards were announced on Wednesday 27 June as part of the three-day annual CUBO Summer conference at Manchester Metropolitan University.
