Kent up to 22nd in Guardian University Guide 2018

The University has also achieved a top 10 position in six subject areas, with a further 15 in the top 20.

Kent has been ranked 22nd out of 121 HEIs in the 2018 Guardian University League Table. This represents a rise of one place since 2017 and underlines its position as a leading UK university.

The key indicators of performance used by the Table include the National Student Survey (Teaching, Assessment & Feedback, Overall Satisfaction), student-staff ratios, expenditure per student and career prospects.

The University has also achieved a top 10 position in 6 subject areas:

The University’s other top performers include its School of Biosciences which ranked 21st out of 102 comparable schools or departments. Biosciences was also in the top quartile for course satisfaction, teaching satisfaction and employability.

Kent recently doubled its presence in the annual QS World University Rankings by Subject and was ranked 85th in the 2017 International Student Table published by Times Higher Education.
