Mark Simmons, Duty Officer for Kent Sport, is performing his first solo show at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe.

The one-liner merchant, who has worked for Kent Sport for the past eight years, recently supported Seann Walsh on his national tour and was runner-up in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year  in 2013.

Mark said: ‘I’m really excited about performing at the world’s largest comedy festival. It’s a chance to showcase all the hard work over the last few years, gigging at comedy clubs all over the country and trying out new material at open mic nights around Canterbury.’

Commenting on his show, reviewers have said:

There is charm and idiocy in abundance as Mr Simmons takes you on a gentle jaunt through the meandering labyrinth of his pun ridden consciousness.

Perfectly timed, clever one liners.

Delightfully daft but carefully crafted jokes punctuated by absurdly self aware set pieces, this show will have you trying out all your different laughs from the raucous chuckle to the giggle of recognition.

Mark would love to see you at the festival – you can catch his one-man show at The Mash House from 31 July to 24 August.
