Kent launches podcast of popular In Conversation series

The University has launched a free-to-download podcast of its popular In Conversation series.

Now in its fourth year, each event in the series consists of an informal conversation between the University’s Chancellor, celebrated journalist and author Gavin Esler, and a leading public figure.

Audience members can participate in the conversations by submitting questions in advance via Twitter or email.

The first four podcasts, featuring the former leader of the Labour Party Lord Kinnock, film critic Mark Kermode, actor Dame Diana Rigg, and comedian, writer broadcaster and Kent Honorary Graduate Sandi Toksvig OBE, are available here.

Future episodes of the podcast will include conversations with Brenda Blethyn OBE, Ian Rankin OBE, Louis de Bernières, Bernard Cornwell OBE, Polly Toynbee, Alastair Stewart OBE, Gerald Scarfe CBE, Robert Wyatt, Herman Van Rompuy and Jo Brand.

Video recordings of the series are available on the University’s YouTube channel.

In Conversation will return during 2018.
