The University of Kent’s international Innovation in Academia Awards 2017 are now open for nominations until the end of February.

Created to celebrate academic creativity and innovation, the Awards recognise those who have studied in Europe and whose professional accomplishments have made a significant and lasting impact in the field of higher education in North America or Europe.

The University launched the Awards at Britweek during its 50th anniversary year in 2015. Britweek, which partners Kent in the Awards, is an annual event which celebrates creativity and innovation between the UK and US.

The 2017 Awards will be presented in Los Angeles (for academics working in North America) and Kent’s postgraduate centre in Athens (for academics working in Europe) in early summer. Academics may self-nominate, or colleagues may enter others on their behalf by writing a short summary explaining why they should be recognised.

The closing date for nominations is Sunday 26 February 2017.

The nomination form is available to view at: https://www.kent.ac.uk/events/innovation/index.html
