The Historic Dockyard

The postcode for the Historic Dockyard is ME4 4TY.  The Dockyard is across the roundabout outside the entrance to the Pembroke site and is used for visitor parking on Applicant Days. From the roundabout, at the junction of Maritime Way and Dock Road, take the exit signposted The Historic Dockyard. Continue up Western Avenue, passing the Travel Lodge hotel on your left, and take the first exit at the next roundabout. This will lead you into the Historic Dockyard car park.

If you indicate on your booking form that you are travelling by car, you will be able to print off a parking permit with your booking confirmation via KentVision to exempt you from Pay & Display charges.

To walk to the Pilkington Building from the Historic Dockyard car park: follow the marked pedestrian route out of the Historic Dockyard to the roundabout and cross Dock Road at the pedestrian crossing. The main entrance to the Pembroke site is by the roundabout at the bottom of Dock Road. Walk onto the Pembroke site and follow signs for the Pilkington Building.

Accessible parking

If you or a member of your party has restricted mobility you may use the Drill Hall Library car park on the Pembroke site, but please contact the Applicant Days Team on +44 (0)1227 824353 in advance for advice. Blue badge holders can use any of the accessible bays.

Selection/Interview Days (Journalism and Social Work)

Pembroke site

Limited parking is available in the Drill Hall Library car park on Selection Days. The postcode for the Drill Hall Library car park is ME4 4TB.

On arrival, enter the Medway campus via the main entrance on Maritime Way, immediately bear left into Pembroke Road and continue along into North Road (beware of the speed bumps). Continue to the end of North Road, passing the back of the Pilkington Building, and the long library building on your right, pass the Rowan Williams Building on your left and turn right into the entrance of the Drill Hall car park. The entrance is guarded by a barrier, to gain access you will need to press the button on the barrier and speak to the attendant.

The Historic Dockyard

If the Drill Hall Library car park is full, please use the Historic Dockyard car park. The postcode for the Historic Dockyard is ME4 4TY.
