Food and drink

Places to eat on campus include the No1 Bistro in the Rochester Building, providing a comfortable setting in which you can enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast or lunch, the Archibald Hay Mess Café in the Drill Hall Library, the Venue café in the Pilkington Building, which is a great place to meet with friends and relax between lectures.

Cargo is our bar and bistro, right next to Liberty Quays accommodation. It is a stunning nautical and industrial-style venue and the perfect place to sample some of the best live music acts the area has to offer. The soft lounge and group booth seating provides a friendly and relaxed setting to watch one the eight LCD TV screens showing music and sporting events. Our mouth-watering, but wallet-friendly, modern bistro-style lunch and dinner menus allow you to enjoy fresh and tasty food throughout the day.

The Deep End, in the Student Hub, serves freshly-cooked food including speciality dishes, 'Dive in' burgers and tasty pizzas. They also offer a range of hot and cold drinks, including Starbucks coffee. As well as great food, the Deep End is also a great night-time venue. Check out their Facebook page for more details!
