Black and white print of a Canterbury Cathedral workman called Lane painting the bosses in the vaulting of the cloister. No caption but the picture is reproduced in an issue of "Illustrated" for December 28th, 1946. A copy of this cutting is to be found in UKC/JOH/CUT : CAN, where the caption is "Heraldic Shields in cloisters have not been painted for eighteen years. Now because of contributions of "The Friends of Canterbury" (sic) painter Lane is able to do job"
