A new title The bitter reckoning or, A rover from many lands has been written at the top of the page in black ink in a different hand. Holograph. Also includes a typewritten cast list as "produced originally at the Britannia Theatre, June 19, 1871," which has been pasted over the second page of the first part. Prompt marks in black ink and blue pencil. Bears the stamp of Arthur Williams. Subsequently owned by Frank Pettingell.
