Ivor Dembina Collection

The Ivor Dembina Collection forms part of the British Stand-Up Comedy Archive.

Ivor Dembina is a comedian and comedy club promoter. The collection comprises material created and collected by Ivor, including:

  • material relating to his career as a stand-up comedian, such as:
    • promotional material for some of his shows and venues he has appeared at
    • administrative information for his own shows, including in London and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe
    • video recordings of him performing stand-up
  • material relating to his career as a comedy promoter with the agency Pranksters and as a comedy club promoter for clubs The Red Rose, Hampstead Comedy Club, Brixton Comedy Club, and the Camden Comedy Club (including photos, listings and bookings, promotional material)
  • proposals for radio, television and publications
  • press coverage
  • photographs
