Jess studied for her undergraduate law degree at the University of Durham and graduated in 2013. She moved to the University of Kent for her LLM and started her PhD here in September 2016. Her interdisciplinary project draws on legal geography, history, anthropology and religious studies to explore the role of birth registration in the English legal system. Jess leads seminars on European Union Law and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Jess has teaching interests focusing on aspects of European Union Law.
