Kent Innovation i-Teams links the most innovative and creative students to industry, facilitating solutions to real world business challenges. i-Teams originated at MIT and was brought over to the UK by the University of Cambridge in 2006. Several other UK Universities have since adopted the model and implemented their own programmes.

What is it?

Over the course of eight weeks, you will work in an interdisciplinary team to find a solution to a challenge set by our business sponsors. You will receive guidance from an industry mentor but it's up to you and your team to explore and analyse solutions and agree on the best one to pitch to businesses in the Grand Final at the end of the programme.

What's in it for me?

You will have access to support from industry mentors, a chance to connect with like-minded University students and opportunities to demonstrate and enhance vital employability skills. As such, each weekly session will earn students 15 employability points which can be ‘cashed-in’ for the chance to apply for exclusive internships, work placements, training and more. Dinner will also be provided at every session.
