About

Dr Ioannis Krasonikolakis is Senior Lecturer in Digital Marketing at Kent Business School. He is also Deputy Director of the Centre for Global Business Enterprise and Cloud Analytics, Henley Business School Malaysia, University of Reading Malaysia. 

Previously, he held appointments as Lecturer in Retail Marketing and Programme Leader of the MSc in Digital Marketing at Southampton Business School, University of Southampton, Adjunct Lecturer at the University College Dublin, at the Singapore Institute of Management, and at the Technological Education Institute of Piraeus. He has also worked as an assistant consultant in Planning S.A. in the Grocery Retailing sector, and as a programmer in Siemens S.A. in the Software Department.

Ioannis holds a PhD in Marketing & Information Systems, a Master's degree in Information Systems and a BSc in Informatics from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Research interests

Electronic/Web Commerce, Consumer Behaviour, retailing and store design.

Ioannis has been awarded over £100,000 in research funding to date and is currently leading a research team as Principal Investigator on advanced quantitative methods for supporting geolocation marketing and identifying behavioural patterns in digital banking. 

He has also been involved in research projects in the area of user/consumer behaviour in physical, online and 3-dimensional environments, design and store layout of retail stores, and morality and social interaction in marketplaces.

Ioannis’s main teaching interests are Digital Marketing and Retailing.
