Flexible programme

Our MBA is based on our Canterbury campus. It is a flexible programme designed so that full-time and part-time students can study together and learn from each other.

The Centre for Higher and Degree Apprenticeships and KBS are launching the Senior Leader Degree Apprenticeship (MBA) in September. This route gives you the opportunity to gain your MBA alongside your career, and employees can access funding made available by the apprenticeship levy. Our MBA brings together creative minds and experienced managers who want to make a difference.

Each year, we welcome a diverse group of students. In 2017/18 our cohort consisted of 23 students, aged between 23 and 55, from 9 countries, with an average work experience of 12 years. The female to male split was 40/60.

Kent MBA graduates form part of an enthusiastic School alumni network which supports the School by organising keynote speakers, providing projects and case studies, assisting at recruitment fairs and organising events.

Academic excellence

Kent Business School is proud of its strong research environment. In the most recent Research Excellence Framework, business and management at Kent was ranked 25th for research intensity in the UK by the Times Higher Education. An impressive 98% of our research was judged to be of international quality, with 67% of that being 'world-leading' or 'internationally excellent', placing us in the top quartile of the UK's business schools.

At Kent Business School, you are taught by expert staff with experience in a wide range of management disciplines. Our academics are passionate about their subjects and about sharing their knowledge with you. Teaching in the School is also supported by leading experts from business and the professions, as well as visiting academics from other universities.

Developing your employability

Kent has an excellent record of graduate employment: of our postgraduate students who graduated in 2017, over 92% of those who responded to a national survey were in work or further study within six months (DLHE).

The Kent MBA provides a foundation for continuing managerial development, and helps you enhance your business skills, define your career goals and create a personalised career action plan.

You will take part in consultancy week, business simulation, 1-to-1 executive coaching, the Business Start-Up Practicum hosted by ASPIRE and an international trip, helping you acquire the skills needed to become a transformational leader and successfully achieve your career goals.

Kent MBA briefings

We believe that timing and ‘fit’ are essential for an MBA. We encourage you to research your MBA programmes and visit all schools on your shortlist.

We warmly invite you to attend one of our MBA briefings, where you can meet our staff and other potential applicants, and find out more about the programme, Kent Business School and the University.

We run two MBA briefing sessions each month: in the daytime (11.30-13.00) on the second Tuesday of the month, and in the evening (18.00-19.00) on the last Wednesday of the month. Contact us to book your place.
