Vice Chancellor's scholarship
The Centre for Journalism at the University of Kent is delighted to offer a Vice Chancelors Scholarships . The successful candidate will demonstrate academic excellence and outstanding research potential. The scholarship will be offered at the standard UK Research Councils' rate.
We seek proposals on political journalism, journalism history or environmental journalism. Applications will be considered on merit and the Centre’s ability to offer supervision.
Applicants are asked to initially submit a:
- a cover letter;
- a curriculum vitae (including contact details of two referees);
- and a thesis proposal of 3-5,000 words (including references).

Candidates must hold a good Honours degree (First or 2/i) or a Master’s degree at merit or distinction in a relevant subject or equivalent. The successful candidate must make a formal application for postgraduate research study at the University of Kent.
