Publications Advisory Board (PAB)

 

The Publications Advisory Board (PAB) guides the future strategy of Open Access publishing at Kent.

The group helps with decisions and advice relating to open access publishing for Kent scholars, including:

  • establishing grounding principles
  • clarifying costs
  • defining and ensuring quality
  • setting up procedures

Terms of reference

  1. Approve selection and evaluation criteria for new journals or other outputs to be hosted on the University of Kent Open Journal System (OJS) or the Kent Blogs site, or other relevant sites
  2. Use selection and evaluation criteria to assess applications for new journals or other outputs to be hosted on the University of Kent OJS or the Kent Blogs site, or other relevant sites
  3. Approve criteria for yearly renewal of existing Journals hosted on the University of Kent OJS
  4. Use criteria to review existing journals for yearly renewal on the University of Kent OJS
  5. Advise on services provided to journal teams
  6. Advise on publication policies e.g. licences, levels of open access
