Thai TV crew visits Kent
A film crew from one of Thailand’s most popular TV channels, Thairath TV, visited Kent’s Canterbury campus on Tuesday 28th November to record a special feature about the University.
The crew spent the afternoon filming social and study areas of the campus including the newly refurbished Templeman Library, the Gulbenkian, and Kent Law School’s Wigoder Law Building. As Law is one of the most popular subject areas for Thai students at Kent, the crew had a special focus on Kent Law School and recorded interviews in the mooting chamber with senior law lecturer Sinéad Ring, and students Krittakorn Phajaitham (LLM) and Mark Charoenwong (Law PhD).
Part of a British Council initiative to promote UK higher education to prospective students in Thailand, the footage of Kent will be edited into a 3-5 minute special scoop and broadcast on the Thairath TV news programme and posted on the Thairath TV Facebook page and YouTube channel early in 2018.
