Lahore counsellors’ event encourages collaboration
On 31 October Kent held a counsellor event at The Pearl Continental in Lahore. The event was well attended by counsellors from top institutions in Pakistan including Lahore Grammar School, The City School, Beaconhouse School system, University of Central Punjab and the Government College University. Dr Anthony Manning, Dean for Internationalisation, gave a presentation about the University of Kent and then counsellors were given an opportunity to ask questions and enjoy a High Tea.
Kent is building strong relationships with counsellors in the region which provides opportunities for collaboration as well as potential progression for their students onto courses at Kent.
A popular choice with students, Kent has an active Pakistani student society and offers initiatives to support Pakistani students including our undergraduate and postgraduate International Scholarships and £20,000 Bestway Foundation Scholarships. Together with The Bestway Foundation we are delighted to offer a number of dedicated scholarships of £20,000, to students from and domiciled in Pakistan, applying to our Postgraduate programmes in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The Scholarships cover tuition fees and provide a maintenance award for the 2018/19 academic year.
