International Foundation Programme

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a level 3 foundation year and an equivalent qualification to A levels. It's designed for international students, and allows you to bridge the gap between your current knowledge and qualifications, and future study at undergraduate level.

The International Foundation Programme is a foundation year pathway to give you the best start to your university journey. This year caters specifically for the needs of international students to develop subject-specific knowledge with a strong focus on improving your academic English language skills in preparation for studying at University of Kent.

We offer guaranteed progression to a range of undergraduate courses at Kent once you have met the progression requirements for your degree. Kent's undergraduate degrees are some of the best in the UK, designed to challenge you, and take your studies to the highest level.

You'll be a full member of our diverse student community from day one, with access to all the study, social, sports and support facilities the University offers. With accommodation in the student village on the Canterbury campus, the same location as our International College you are in the heart of student life.
