Mark Glenister, founder and partner of JPP Law LLP. Mark specialises in corporate finance and company commercial work but also focuses on start-up companies, the organisations which support them; and the people who invest in them.

Mark Glenister, founder and partner of JPP Law LLP, has been welcomed as an Entrepreneur/Business Mentor. Mark specialises in corporate finance and company commercial work but also focuses on start-up companies, the organisations which support them; and the people who invest in them.

Over the last four years he has worked closely with SetSquared, which is a collaboration between the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey, which supports the growth and success of new business opportunities through spin-outs, licensing and incubation.  He has also work closely with the Surrey 100 Club, which is one of South East’s leading Angel Investment Networks. This involvement has included:

  • presenting seminars on legal issues for start-ups
  • running free “legal surgeries” where advice can be given to start-ups on their structure, shareholder and investment agreements
  • giving advice on any legal issues that concern them.

 

Mark has also given talks at Hertfordshire University, at the Rothamsted Research Park and has recently been appointed to the Advisory Board of Cranfield University’s CUBIC business incubator, as well as becoming a member of the UEA Enterprise Panel at Norwich Research Park.
