Bal Sandher

CEP of Hectic Lifestlyes, Hectic Sports and Nutra Direct. Young Entrepreneur of the Year, KEiBA (Specialism: Entrepreneurship within the Sciences)

After graduating from University of Kent with a Biomedical Sciences degree, Bal worked in recruitment and sales before a debilitating knee injury resulted in major surgery. During the intense and long recovery period, he started his business, Hectic Lifestyles, an award-winning, multi-channel, online health and supplement retailer and distributor. Over the years, it has expanded into three distinct brands, ‘Hectic Lifestyles’, ‘Hectic Sports’ and the new B2B division ‘Nutra Direct’, selling over 120 different nutritional products to consumers and businesses in 150 countries world-wide.
Bal has joined us to share his distinctive skill set with other budding entrepreneurs. Having set up a business from scratch by himself, he is in the unique position to counsel others about how to develop a start-up into a viable business proposition and assist them through different aspects of the process (such as branding, website design, negotiating with suppliers to name a few). He also understands the pressures that can come along with new business ventures and hopes to be a source of support and encouragement for those taking on the world of business ownership.
