Operations & Reward

Operations and Reward comprises three teams with responsibility for HR Operations, HR Systems & Planning, and Reward:

  • HR Operations are responsible for pre-employment checks, the issue of contracts, employee records and provision of support to the various committees which manage pay and promotions for all University staff.  
  • Systems and Planning maintain and support our HR-Payroll systems, provide management information, and support the development of KPIs and statistical returns.  
  • Reward is a newly formed section created to be a centre of excellence for the design and support of all reward and benefits policies at the University.

Caroline has overall strategic responsibility for HR Operations, HR Systems & Planning, and Reward.  This includes employee contracts and records, provision of support for the HR-Payroll system, management information and statistical returns plus the development of University policies relating to pay and benefits.

 

Operational Services

The Operational Services team is responsible for delivering core HR administrative processes and advises on HR policies and procedures, particularly in relation to contracts, contractual entitlements/benefits and promotions.

Lee is responsible for the running of the HR Systems and Planning team. He is responsible for the undertaking the general maintenance tasks and configuration developments of the main HR system. He undertakes system analysis to troubleshoot issues and investigate the systems capabilities for future development opportunities.  He also provides support to users with advice and guidance on system functionality. Lee is currently seconded to the Staff Connect Phase two project until mid 2019.
