We're now recruiting for two divisional Directors of Operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced operations managers to join the leadership team of the University’s academic divisions; working with the relevant Director of Division and other members of the divisional leadership team to foster a cohesive culture and environment which drives and supports excellence in education and research. The Director of Operations is based in the division but is expected to take a University-wide perspective in their work and demonstrate a broad corporate commitment.

You will act as the divisional chief operating officer and as such, act as an enabler to the division; primarily responsible for the division’s effective and efficient day to day operations. You will also play a key role in ensuring effective partnership and collaborative working between academic and professional services staff in the division and across the University more broadly. This is a highly visible and pivotal role - the division’s organisation needs to be a model of effective management, delivering high performance, student-oriented, effective outcomes, whilst embracing the positive attributes of the Kent culture of collegiality.

You'll have a strong track record of developing and leading diverse professional support services, which will underpin the division. You will be an experienced manager with substantial budget and multi-disciplinary team management experience, who has developed and implemented operational plans. You will be confident in working closely with and influencing senior staff across the University. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about driving organisational excellence as part of a supportive and ambitious team and who relishes the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our students and staff.

Further information about the role can be found in the candidate brief.
