Digital screens, posters and leaflets in the Library

You can ask us to display digital screen content, leaflets, posters or banner stands in the Templeman Library.

Digital screens

The digital screens in the Library can show images and films. Unlike other screens on campus, ours are in portrait orientation. We accept these file types:

Images

  • png, jpg, gif
  • 1080 (width) x 1920 (height) pixels, optimised for screen (72 dpi)

Film or animation

  • mp4, mpeg, avi, mov, wmv, webm, flv, swf, html
  • no longer than 30 seconds

You can download University brand digital screen templates. For the Library's digital screens, choose the portrait screen options (plasma screen templates).

Leaflets, posters and banner stands

We can display these formats:

  • A3 posters (portrait or landscape)
  • A4 posters (portrait)
  • A4, A5 and DL (1/3 A4) flyers and leaflets
  • Banner stands

To get your content displayed:

  • Jump down to: types of content we can accept
  • Give your material to staff at the Welcome Desk
  • Tell us the date until which you'd like us to display the material. After this date we'll dispose of leaflets and posters and you need to collect your banner stand  
  • If there's space and it’s suitable, we’ll put it up for you
  • We don’t allow unauthorised leafleting or fly posting in the Library and will dispose of any such material

Types of content we can accept

  • School, divisional and professional service department content that's relevant for all or most students
  • Kent Union academic-related content, for example elections, student awards (non-political content only)
  • Academic society content with a link to our collections, for example for diversity months (Black History, Disability, LGBTQ+ etc)
  • Corporate Communications campaigns, for example NSS

What we can't accept:

  • University of Kent social society promotions
  • Kent Social events promotions
  • Non-University of Kent content
  • Political promotions or individual candidate manifestos
