Advanced training workshops

The Graduate School facilitates advanced training workshops to complement your research with transferable skills.

The University of Kent offers a range of specialist training courses, organised by the Graduate School. Kent is proud to be part of three prestigious Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTPs) funded by UK Research Councils. The Consortium for the Humanities and the Arts South-east England (CHASE), ARIES and the South-East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS).

Specific courses funded by our DTPs will appear below when available. If you are interested in finding out more about our training or wish to attend please contact Carla O'Mara, Postgraduate Development Coordinator at skills@kent.ac.uk

Examples of advanced training courses offered previously include:

  • Multisensory Methods
  • Introduction to GIS
  • R for Environmental Sciences
  • Interpretive Methodologies and Methods

Without this workshop I never would have been able to complete a systematic review satisfactory for publication or my PhD research.
