*Part of Black History Month*

Preparing to study abroad is nerve-wracking whoever you are. However, for many minority ethnic students, there can often be an added concerns, particularly when heading to countries that are less racially diverse or tolerant than the UK.

As a positive, the 'Gone International: mobility works' report published that "Black graduates who were mobile were 70% less likely to be unemployed (4.6% compared to 7.8%) than their non-mobile peers." However, it also reported that "black and minority ethnic graduates are still underrepresented in the outward student mobility figures".

Come along to this discussion forum & Q&A session to hear experiences, insights and stories from Kent's black and minority ethnic students who’ve taken part in Go Abroad opportunities. Together we can inspire, share and support and ways of closing the participation gap between white and Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) students in outward student mobility. Members of Kent's Go Abroad team will also be on hand to share the various opportunities available to you.
