Where to go

"Canterbury Cathedral is always a good option with their choirs and various other displays. The Bluewater shopping centre normally do Christmas in quite a big way as well." Suzanne Fish

"Christmas period in Canterbury is truly beautiful. The lights, decorations, stalls and the general festive mood adds to a great experience.Visit the Canterbury Christmas market and watch a pantomime to get into the Christmas spirit! " Ruhsen Sevketoglu

I never miss the traditional Christmas market on Whitefriars street and other Christmas markets held in Westgate hall. When it's very cold outside and you're walking around the streets of Canterbury, it's nice to have a break in one of the little cafes along St Peters Street. One I particularly appreciate is Boho Cafe, a cosy and friendly place where hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows are amazing in the winter.
