Dr Vita Kogan obtained her PhD in Cognitive Science and Language at the University of Barcelona in Spain and her MSc in Psychology of Language at the University of Edinburgh in the UK.
Her research concerns the acquisition of second language phonetics and phonology, especially so-called phonetic talent and cognitive processes that underlie it. She is also interested in innovative language pedagogy such as content- and task-based learning and gamification of learning.
Vita's research interests include linguistic (phonetic and phonological) and psycholinguistic aspects of second language acquisition.
Vita teaches modules on phonetics and phonology.
