What we do
Campus Security are the main providers of security within the University estate. Campus Security are responsible for the provision of the following services:
- Security of students, staff, visitors, buildings and other University assets
- Provision of first responder first aid
- Operating the 24/7 control room and CCTV system
- Building access/Key control
- Lost & found property
- Liaison with emergency services
- Patrolling of the estate
- Emergency procedures (alarm response etc.)
- Special events security.
Meet the Team
There are over 50 staff engaged on security duties, operating on shifts 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. You will always be able to contact a member of security staff, whatever the time of day.
There are 6 Duty Managers at the Canterbury campus, and a Security Supervisor at Medway who are responsible for delivering a first-class security service to staff, students and visitors. You can find them at the Security & Transport Centre in the Banking Hall (Canterbury) or the Medway Building.
