Dragan Todorovic addresses the Faculty of Letters at the Universidade de Lisboa

Dragan Todorovic, from the Centre for Creative Writing, recently visited Lisbon at the invitation from the Faculty of Letters, Universidade de Lisboa. He was invited by the Program of Theatre Studies to present and talk about his sound art, which they file under performance projects. His presentation about sound art, verfremdung and the language of Other was well received.
Faculty of Letters was founded in 1859 by King Pedro V of Portugal. It offers numerous programmes in humanities, from language and literature studies to cultural studies, philosophy, psychology, theatre, classical studies, Asian, European and African studies. Universidade de Lisboa is the largest and most prestigious university in Portugal and is one of Europe's leading universities, heir to a university tradition that spans over seven centuries. It is similar in size to the University of Kent (around 20,000 students) and belongs to the esteemed Compostela Group of Universities.
