THE SCIENCE BEHIND ENDURANCE PERFORMANCE

Endurance Research Conference

2-4 September 2015, University of Kent at Medway, Chatham Maritime, ME4 4AG, UK

Welcome to the official Endurance Research Conference 2015 website. Following the highly successful World Congress of Cycling Science 2014 in Leeds, the University of Kent is now offering a unique conference for sport science students, scientists, health professionals, coaches and athletes with an interest in endurance sports. The programme includes invited talks from world-leading scientists and practitioners, free poster and oral communications, and lots of opportunities for stimulating debates, questions and answers, and networking.

Unlike other more generic conferences, the conference will focus solely on endurance. Talks and free communications will cover both the basic sciences applied to endurance (physiology, psychology, biomechanics and cognitive neuroscience) as well as more applied topics such as training, testing, nutrition, and modelling. All major endurance sports will be covered (running, cycling, swimming, triathlon and ultra endurance) but free communications are welcome about any endurance sport.

* The conference benefits from a very convenient £180 full conference package for the three day conference (or only £295 for the full catering, accommodation and registration package). In addition, the first 50 students with an accepted abstract will receive a £100 voucher to spend against conference registration and accommodation.

For conference updates follow the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences on Twitter and Facebook.
